Drop Check™ 6300 DC-TP - Finally, A Sane Solution for That Twisted Pair

If you are supplying AC Network power to the home over a composite cable that uses twisted pair for the powering voltages, you still have to meet NEC article 830.12(C).

Like our regular DropCheck™ for coaxial cable, DropCheck for Twisted Pair saves you time, money and aggravation. Designed to keep you out of “deep” NEC trouble (as detailed in Section 830.12(c) of the 2002 National Electric Code), DropCheck for Twisted Pair allows for safe application of powering voltages without 18" burial of the cable between the tap and residence.

Why Get Buried in a Mountain of Work? DropCheck installs in minutes and with little more than a pair of pliers. Plus the cost is substantially less than burying a drop cable 18" or 12" deep in conduit. DropCheck can also eliminate customer complaints due to yard damage and inconvenience.

GET THE “DROP” ON NEC CODE 830.12. With DropCheck™ 6300 DC-TP, the Code Compliant, Money Saving Solution for Twisted Pair Network Powering.

NEC 830.12(c) requires all AC powered telephony drop cables be either:

  1. PROTECTED BY DROPCHECK!
  2. Buried 18" deep
  3. Buried 12" deep in conduit
  • So easy to install and without the high cost of burying
  • DropCheck alleviates customer complaints due to burying
  • Only drop cables buried at least 12" deep before January 1, 2000 are “grand fathered”
  • All other powered telephony drops installed, regardless of when, must be compliant
