Broadband Communications’ QuickToneTM cable identification tool is the perfect low cost, quick, and easy way to identify cable paths, cable continuity and one cable from another. Use QuickToneTM by connecting either the audible tone component or the visual identification component to one end of a cable, the remaining piece can be used at the other end of the cable to identify the correct cable, cable path or continuity of the cable.
The audible ID component consists of a non-conductive housing, audible Piezo buzzer, and female f-fitting. The visual ID component consists of a non-conductive housing, high intensity LED and male f-fitting
QuickToneTM is an efficient, cost effective solution to identify multiple drops for cable technicians or anyone handling coaxial cable drops. QuickToneTM provides technicians with one simple tool, which performs multiple duties.
The visual component of QuickToneTM is also Broadband’s PowerPenTM. When used alone PowerPenTM portion indicates if power is present on the output ports of a center conductor power-passing tap. The individual ports can quickly be tested for power without removing the faceplate.
If used alone the audible component produces an audio tone when a short is present in coaxial cable between the center conductor and the outer conductor.
The combination, being QuickToneTM , is a simple, effective tool to identify drop cables.
